Bekal Fort:
        An ancient fort, an imposing circular structure rising 130 ft above sea level. This 300-year-old fort has significant historic importance, which is why the Archaeological Survey of India has shown interest in it. The Bekal Fort is the largest and best preserved of its kind in Kerala. There is a temple at the entrance of the Fort dedicated to Lord Anjaneya.
        The other attractions at the Fort include the Observation tower, the Sea Bastion, the seaside pathway and underground passages. There is a mosque situated just outside the Fort. It is believed to have been built by Tipu Sultan of Mysore. Bekal Fort is located about 10 km from Bekal International.

Nithyanandashram:
        Nithyanandashram is the ideal meditation center having 45 caves and is belonging to disciples of his Holiness Nithyananda Swamy.Here is a temple in the design of the famous Somanath Temple. A full-size statue of Nithyananda Swamy in sitting posture made of Panchaloha alloy is also an attraction of the Ashram. The ashram is just a 10 minute walk from Bekal International.
